Super Fun Family Photography Session in Abilene TX | Angela Wilson Photography

Are you guys in the holiday spirit?  The Wilson household is!  Christmas gifts (that have so far been delivered) are wrapped and under the tree.  Y’all.  Not ONE Christmas gift was purchased in an actual storefront this year – all online!  That’s a very good thing considering I can’t stand crowds, waiting in line, or fighting for gifts – I’m sorry, no sale in the world is worth that to me.

Christmas tree pictures were taken earlier this week and we visited Santa last Saturday.  We’ve been trying to fit in as many holiday movies as we can, too!  My favorite continues to be The Christmas Chronicles – I continue to believe Kurt Russell plays THE best Santa Claus EVER.  Prove me wrong!

Willow’s birthday is on December 30 and do you know how hard it is to balance Christmas and birthday presents?  In addition to a birthday party, cake, and all that jazz right after a big holiday?  By that time most people are burned out on sweets and gifts!  I try to separate the two as much as I can, I never want her to grow up feeling like they are one in the same.  And if you would, say a prayer for me, us December moms are NOT ok.  I mean we are, but we also kind of aren’t.  Especially a December PHOTOGRAPHER mom.

I should probably move on to what I was originally intending on blogging about, right?  Right. You’re absolutely right.

A few weeks ago, I met with the Colerick family out at 41 Creek Ranch for a full family session.  Out of their SUV popped three of the most beautiful, well behaved children in the city of Abilene.  This family was just so kind that I still can’t believe it today.  Their middle child (the sweet boy you see) was having a rough time giving me a genuine smile so prompting him with “don’t you dare smile”, worked like a charm.  I think their favorite part was asking them to jump and boy did they jump!  On top of being sweet, they also got bonus points for their wardrobe, all done without any pointers from me.  Good on you, Mom!

Check out that sunset, it just doesn’t get better anywhere else in Abilene.  I’m so grateful I found a spot where I can focus on a family’s love and everything else just fades away (not to mention it’s quiet and peaceful, not another soul around).  It’s rare you find that anymore.

I have the last three sessions of 2019 coming up and 2020 is full of change, big changes actually!  I can’t wait to share them with you in the upcoming weeks.  We might just have a giveaway, too!  Stay tuned!  Contact me here to reserve your session today!

Happy Holidays!
